Hi guys all right? Today the post has a flavor of nostalgia for a delicious trip I took recently. In early November 2023, WEMA Global organized an exciting FAMtrip through stunning Sicily, Italy. The event, called “Visualize It: Sicily 2023”, provided an immersive and memorable experience for all participants. Accommodation has been carefully chosen to reflect the charm and authenticity of the region, with stays at the historic Borgo San Rocco in Savoca and the charming Borgo Siciliamo.
Day 1: Arrival and First Impressions
We started arriving throughout the day. Those who arrived before 1:30 pm were met at the airport and transferred to Monaci delle Terre Nere, where they enjoyed a site visit and a delicious lunch. For those arriving between 1:30 pm and 6:00 pm, the reception was followed by a transfer to Castello San Marco, with a tour of the site and an aperitif. The last to arrive, after 6pm, went directly to Borgo San Rocco. After the initial visits, the group met at Borgo San Rocco, where they stayed for the first two nights. The evening featured a beauty session hosted by Beauty bar by Tannaz and a Sicilian welcome dinner.
Day 2: Exploring Savoca and Taormina
The second day started with a tasty breakfast, followed by dividing participants into two groups for different activities. The former took part in a creative session at Borgo San Rocco, while the latter explored Savoca and a fun pasta cooking class at Borgo San Rocco itself. After lunch at Borgo and a photo session, the group left for Taormina. There, we visited iconic sites such as La Plage, Belmond Grand Hotel Timeo and Four Seasons San Domenico Palace. The experience in Taormina also included a tuk-tuk ride around the city and free time to explore the village. The day ended with drinks at Medousa Bistro.
Day 3: Culture and Networking in Catania and Noto
The third day began with new activities. The first group visited a famous jewelry factory in Giarre, while the second had a creative session at Villa La Limonaia. After lunch, everyone headed to Palazzo Valle in Catania for B2B networking meetings with Sicilian suppliers. It was very interesting and enriching. I return to Brazil full of news. Then we went to Noto, where we took a tour of the city and visited the famous Caffè Sicilia. In the evening we leave for Baglio Siciliamo for our farewell dinner!
On the last day, after breakfast, we visited the entire Baglio Siciliamo. The farewells were emotional, with everyone leaving enriched by the experience and new connections made during FAMtrip.
I want to say a very special thank you to Isola Per Caso and Wedding Sicily who welcomed us very well in wonderful Sicily and to dear Martina from Timeless Photography for the beautiful photos.
So, what did you think? This trip was a dream!
Kisses and see you next week,
Simone.
