Hi guys all right? Today, we continue our tour of Turkey, always looking for the best places and tips for a destination wedding there . But first, I wanted to thank you for all the messages I received from the last post about the IMWF! It was really very special and, for me, it’s a thrill to represent Brazil in the biggest wedding event in Turkey!
Today’s post is from the pre-event in Istanbul. I arrived in Turkey 3 days before the congress, at the invitation of The Ritz-Carlton hotel and KM Eventos , my dear friend and Turkish super wedding planner , Meltem Tepeler. There is no better way to start the Turkish season. By my side, other big names in weddings outside Brazil – Frieha Altaf from Pakistan, Monica Balli from Italy, Angela Proffitt from the USA and the photographer from Malaysia, Zung Ninja.
For those who haven’t read my post about the Ritz-Carlton, I’ll give you a brief summary. The hotel occupies the first 12 floors of the iconic Suzer Plaza building . The panoramic view of the Bosphorus is breathtaking and I’ve been lost for several moments with the beautiful landscape, which has the historic city center as a backdrop. IT’S IN-CRI-VELLL! Both bride and groom are sure to have an amazing trip on it. Not to mention the wedding night and the honeymoon, which will be a guaranteed success with so much service they offer. Who hasn’t seen the post, click on this link that has all the details and official photos, ok?
Day 1
On our first day, we had a delicious lunch at the JW Marriott Marmara Sea, another hotel full of cool wedding venues. The proposal here is another, more modern one, with a burnt cement architecture. For me, the highlight here is the space for the outdoor ceremony. Lunch, signed by the hotel’s executive chef, was delicious. An international and contemporary cuisine, worth a try (even if you’re not in town).
And after lunch, we head to a fantastic dinner at Il Cortile il Italian, which is available in several cities, such as New York, Rome… In Istanbul, the restaurant is an elegant feature in the shadow of the Galata Tower.
Day 2
Our second day started with the best tour in the world – anywhere – shopping! lol… And the mall is the best of all, the Grand Bazaar. This is, without a doubt, a program that cannot be missed at your destination wedding. Afterwards, we had lunch at Daze Akaretler Rest, which offers an experience with its seasonal and modern interpretation of Mediterranean cuisine. Always worth a visit, because the menu always changes. The very modern presentation is worthy of posting on Instagram. Good for pre-wedding!
To close the night and our stay in Istanbul, dinner was at the house of dear Meltem Tepeler. To welcome us in the best style, she prepared a Turkish barbecue. To engrave Turkey forever in the memory of all of us. Just as it marked another visit of mine there.
See you next week!
Little kisses,
Simone.
