Those who follow me on Instagram saw that I participated in a super event last week! It was the workshop “Vale do Café Romântico – Destination Wedding” ! Subject that I love, that I mentioned several times here on the blog and that the pandemic brought even more to the fore. Destination wedding , as I always said, is NOT JUST getting married outside the country. It is getting married outside the city of origin of the bride and groom, and creating a complete and multi-day experience for your friends and family.

Along with dear Luciana De Lamare, director of the Vale do Café Convention & Visitors Bureau, we discussed several issues : numbers from the Brazilian and World markets, sectors involved, impact on the tourism and events markets , attraction of investments, job and income generation locations and social inclusion through the wedding market , in addition to consolidating the Vale do Café destination as the perfect setting for romantic celebrations. In other words, it was a complete immersion in the subject and that can bring a complete picture, both for suppliers and for grooms who dream of getting married in the interior of Rio de Janeiro.
For those who do not know, Vale do Café is one of the most beautiful and historic routes we have. Altogether there are 15 municipalities in the Vale do Paraíba do Sul Fluminense region , located about 120 km from the city of Rio de Janeiro, which brings together the entire history of the coffee commercial in Brazil. With that, you can already imagine that stunning scenery is not lacking there. The landscape is breathtaking, but the farms and old houses are my real passions. Making a historic immersion is exciting and I’m sure it will be a beautiful experience for your guests.
For the ceremony, the Valley brings together 10 beautiful churches and five hyper charming chapels . As for the party, as I said, farms and big houses are the fiancés’ favorites . However, there are other options, such as lush gardens, more modern inn hotels. .. And everything with a touch of intimacy.
But Vale do Café is not just for the big day. For having this cozy and very discreet character, the destination is perfect for honeymooners (especially until we have the freedom to fly farther), marriage proposals (the views are beautiful), rehearsal of the bride and groom (this I love and recommend all world to do!), bachelor parties .. . Event options abound! As well as tourist activities typical of the region and can be pre or post-wedding . Among the favorites:Picnics by the lake, Hora da Rosa, which is the winter sunset, Horseback riding, Soiree, Gastronomic circuit, Flowering, where you can choose the date of your wedding according to the time of year of your favorite flower …
