Spending three nights at the Cala Beach Resort in Tuscany was a great experience that left me completely enchanted. I would like to start this post by thanking the Opera Hotels group for inviting me to visit this wonderful beachfront hotel, one of the very few 5-star hotels on the beach in the region, and a member of the select group Leading Hotels of the World . The Cala Beach Resort is more than just a hotel: it is the perfect destination for unforgettable weddings in Tuscany. Located in a region of lush natural beauty, the resort combines luxury, exclusivity and the romantic atmosphere that is typical of Italy.
Cala Beach Resort offers a variety of settings to celebrate your big day. Imagine exchanging vows in an outdoor ceremony with the Tyrrhenian Sea as your backdrop , while the sun sets and paints the sky with shades of gold and pink. For receptions, the restaurant’s terrace is spectacular : spacious, elegant and overlooking the sea. If you’re planning a more intimate dinner, the indoor areas are decorated with a sophisticated touch, creating a warm and sophisticated atmosphere.
There is also the option of celebrating in the hotel garden, surrounded by olive trees and lavender, which evoke the bucolic charm of Tuscany . It is a place for both outdoor parties and sunset cocktails. For those looking for something even more unique, the hotel’s private beach can be transformed into a magical setting, with the sea breeze and the sound of the waves as the soundtrack. How about a destination wedding like this?
One of the great advantages of holding a destination wedding at Cala Beach Resort is the possibility of extending the celebration with activities for guests before and after the wedding. For example, before the wedding, a welcome dinner at the hotel restaurant, with a selection of Tuscan dishes accompanied by the region’s famous wines, can be enjoyed. An olive oil tasting can also be an interesting experience for guests. For the post-wedding, how about a brunch on the private beach to bring all the guests together in a relaxed atmosphere? Another option is to organize a boat trip along the crystal clear waters of the Tuscan coast, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the scenery. To end the experience on a high note, I suggest a trip to the neighboring towns, such as Bolgheri, known for its wineries, or Castagneto Carducci, a medieval village full of charm.
Now, speaking of accommodation, a super important part that I always talk about in my posts, the hotel has 50 rooms and suites, each one more charming than the last. I stayed in one of the Deluxe Suites with a sea view, and I can say that waking up every morning with the infinite blue of the sea right there was something unforgettable. The rooms are decorated with a design that mixes modernity and traditional elements of the region, such as wood and neutral tones that refer to the local landscape. The penthouse, at the top of the hotel pyramid, is another spectacular option, especially for newlyweds or family members who want even more exclusivity. With a private terrace, it offers total privacy and comfort.
To get to Cala Beach Resort, there are a few options. It is about an hour and a half by car from Pisa Airport, which is the most convenient option for those coming from Brazil. From Florence, the drive takes about two hours, but it is also worth it, because the landscapes are true movie sets, with sunflower fields, vineyards and charming villages along the way.
So, what did you think? Well, leaving Cala Beach Resort was a difficult task, but I left there in love with everything and everyone. If you are planning a wedding in Tuscany, I wholeheartedly recommend considering this paradise on the sand. And I, of course, am here to help you organize everything!
Until next week,
Simone
