Hi guys all right? After my posts about destination wedding in Egypt , which those who haven’t seen it can check it out here on the blog , it’s time to talk about the second part of this incredible trip, in which I, Simone Tostes, from Aonde Casar, participated in a wonderful Famtrip and from the always amazing DWP Congress in Doha , Qatar . I’ve lost count of how many editions of this congress I’ve been invited to and represented Brazil, but what I can say is: always something new, always an incredible learning experience. A wonderful exchange between the best wedding professionals in the world!
But before talking about the congress, I will talk about Famtrip, which for those unfamiliar with the term, is nothing more than a trip to familiarize yourself with the destination. In my case, reconnaissance and technical visits in good and suitable places for weddings, as well as cool places to include in the travel itinerary .
Hotel St. Regis
Our trip started with a welcome drink at the Hotel St. Reg. The Hotel St. Regis is one of the most sophisticated options for weddings in Doha, Qatar. With impressive architecture and a privileged location, the hotel offers stunning spaces for wedding ceremonies and receptions, including a beautiful garden overlooking the sea and a luxurious ballroom. In addition, the hotel has a team of experienced and dedicated professionals who work to make each event a unique and unforgettable experience.

With its combination of sophistication and modernity, the Kempinski Hotel Doha is an exceptional choice for couples looking for a luxurious and contemporary setting for their Doha wedding.
City tour
After visiting the hotel, we took a delightful tour of the city, where I was able to visit, among other things, the National Museum of Qatar, which is one of the most important and modern museums in the world. Opened in 2019, the museum aims to preserve the country’s history and culture, featuring a unique collection of artifacts and interactive exhibits. The museum building was designed by renowned French architect Jean Nouvel and is a must-see attraction for anyone visiting Doha.
Desert Safari and Dinner at Regency Sealine Camp
To close the second night, we went on a safari through the desert, which was awesome, and we had dinner at the Regency Sealine Camp, which is a luxury camp located in the south of Qatar, close to the border with Saudi Arabia. Overlooking the Arabian Gulf, the camp offers a unique lodging experience in luxury tents with air conditioning, private bathrooms and comfortable beds. In addition, the camp has a range of activities, such as camel rides, sandboarding and Bedouin dinner under the stars, providing guests with a complete immersion in the local culture. Regency Sealine Camp is a charming option for anyone looking for a different and memorable stay in Qatar.
Mondrian Hotel Doha
We started the second day of the trip at the Mondrian Hotel Doha. With its modern and vibrant decor, the hotel offers a unique lodging experience in luxurious rooms and spacious suites with panoramic views of the city. In addition, the hotel has a number of dining options, including the CUT by Wolfgang Puck restaurant, and a large leisure area with a pool, gym and spa. With its combination of contemporary design and high-level services, the Mondrian Hotel Doha is a perfect choice for those seeking comfort and luxury during their stay in the city.
Raffles Hotel Doha
The architecture is super imposing and the decor is elegant! The hotel offers couples and guests an exclusive lodging experience in spacious and comfortable rooms and suites, equipped with the best technology. In addition, Raffles features a variety of restaurants and bars, including Japanese cuisine restaurant Morimoto and The Jazz Club lounge bar. Raffles Hotel Doha also offers a host of leisure options including an infinity pool, spa and gym.
Fairmont Hotel Doha
Located on the coast of the Arabian Gulf, the hotel has one of the most breathtaking panoramic views of the sea and the city. Fairmont Hotel Doha is an ideal venue for weddings and special events. With a dedicated wedding planning team, the hotel offers a variety of event spaces, including elegant ballrooms, outdoor terraces and spaces with panoramic city and ocean views. The hotel has several restaurants, bars and lounges, including The Japanese Restaurant, which serves authentic Japanese cuisine, and The Rooftop, which offers signature cocktails and spectacular views of the city.
Afternoon shopping and culture
Between hotels, we spend an afternoon shopping at the Doha Mall, then stroll through Katara, a vibrant cultural center that hosts a range of cultural events, exhibitions, theater performances, concerts and festivals throughout the year. To close the second day of Famtrip in Doha, we had dinner at the international Nobu. Always a delight!
Wassup what did you think? Next week, I’ll talk EVERYTHING about the DWP Congress. Wait for news!
