Aonde Casar in Switzerland: My Experience on the Fam Trip Organized by Switzerland Tourism and Wema Global

Hi everyone, how are you? Are you ready to celebrate Carnival? But before we start the festivities, I wanted to share with you a great trip I took at the end of the year. I was invited by Switzerland Tourism and WEMA Global for an unforgettable FAM Trip to Interlaken and Lucerne, with a special stop in Zurich. I visited stunning destination wedding locations in Switzerland, tried the local haute cuisine and was enchanted by the cinematic landscapes. If Switzerland is already in the imagination of couples as a romantic destination, after this trip, I can say that it is also one of the most exclusive and sophisticated places for weddings and honeymoons. Let’s get to the itinerary?

First stop: Zurich and the luxury of The Dolder Grand

Before the official start of the FAM Trip, my first night was spent at the iconic The Dolder Grand, one of the most sophisticated hotels in Switzerland. Situated on a hill overlooking the city, this hotel combines tradition with an impeccable modern touch. The spa is a true haven of well-being and the cuisine, led by renowned chefs, provides an unforgettable sensory experience. A perfect start to a dream trip!

Interlaken: between lakes, mountains and the luxury of the Victoria Jungfrau Grand Hotel & Spa

The next day, I headed to Interlaken, where I stayed at the Victoria Jungfrau Grand Hotel & Spa, an icon of sophistication and Swiss hospitality. With a privileged location between Lakes Thun and Brienz and at the foot of the Jungfrau region, this hotel offers immersion in the most beautiful Swiss nature. Its 5,500m2 spa is one of the most impressive in Europe, ideal for moments of relaxation before the big day. Our first day included an elegant dinner at the Salon Rouge, inside the hotel, where we enjoyed dishes that blended the tradition and modernity of Swiss cuisine.

Exploring the heights: Jungfrau, Grindelwald and a dinner with a panoramic view

The second day was full of adventures and breathtaking scenery. We took the train from Interlaken Ost to Grindelwald, from where we boarded the Eiger Express, a modern cable car that took us to the Eiger glacier station. The view of the Jungfrau massif is beyond words! We had lunch at the charming Romantik Hotel Schweizerhof, a cozy retreat with spectacular views, ideal for intimate weddings. To end the day, we took the funicular up to Harder Kulm, known as “the top of Interlaken”. The venue, which also hosts exclusive weddings, provided us with a typical Swiss dinner, including fondue and an unforgettable sunset.

Lucerne: historic charm and the elegance of the Mandarin Oriental Palace

On the third day, we headed to Lucerne aboard the Luzern-Interlaken Express, a panoramic train that offered stunning views of crystal-clear lakes and imposing mountains. Upon arrival, we were welcomed for a tour of the city and the charming Old Town, full of medieval streets and historic monuments, such as the famous Kapellbrücke (Chapel Bridge). Our home in Lucerne was the Mandarin Oriental Palace, a hotel on the shores of Lake Lucerne that exudes glamour and refinement. Recently renovated, it has an impeccable infrastructure for weddings and social events. Dinner at the restaurant run by Michelin-starred chef Gilad Peled was the icing on the cake for this unforgettable experience.

Lucerne is a city that looks like something out of a fairytale. The crystal-clear lake, the mountains in the background, and the charming medieval architecture create the perfect backdrop for unforgettable weddings. During my stay, I had the opportunity to take a tour of the city and take a special class with a renowned chocolatier at Max Chocolates, where I learned about the art of Swiss chocolate and was able to create my own delights. Another highlight was a visit to the iconic Bürgenstock Hotel & Alpine Spa, a luxurious mountaintop retreat with spectacular views of Lake Lucerne. The hotel offers impeccable wedding facilities and wellness experiences that make any stay memorable. I also explored Villa Schweizerhof, a historic lakeside property perfect for intimate and elegant celebrations. The combination of refined cuisine and a charming ambiance makes it an excellent choice for couples looking for an exclusive wedding. On my last day in Lucerne, I had lunch at the Art Deco Hotel Montana, an iconic hotel that offers a unique experience: it is accessed by a dedicated funicular that takes guests right up to its entrance. From there, I enjoyed incredible panoramic views of the city and the lake, while sampling some exceptional cuisine.

And to top off this incredible experience, my journey also included a visit to Villa St. Charles Hall, a venue that impresses with its classical architecture and lush gardens. The property is a perfect choice for those who want a sophisticated wedding with a touch of history and exclusivity.

This FAM Trip showed me that Switzerland is an unparalleled destination for weddings and honeymoons. From historic castles to five-star hotels and natural landscapes that look like they’re straight out of a fairytale, the country offers a magical setting to say “I do.”

Whether you’re dreaming of a royal wedding or a honeymoon filled with exclusive experiences, Switzerland deserves to be at the top of your list.
