Destination wedding in Italy: the wedding of Úrsula and Alberto at Castello di San Fabiano in Tuscany

Hi everyone, how are you? Did you like the last post about the Sheraton Grand Rio? If you didn’t see it, leave the link here ! And today I want to share with you the beautiful destination wedding in Italy of Úrsula and Alberto, which I had the pleasure of organizing. It was in the heart of Tuscany, in the picturesque town of Monteroni d’Arbia, that they celebrated their love in an unforgettable wedding. The choice of venue could not have been more perfect: the historic Castello di San Fabiano, a property dating back to the 13th century, built by King Charles of Anjou. Awesome, right? The property includes a charming church dedicated to Saint Fabian, dating back to 867 AD, where the couple exchanged vows in a Catholic ceremony.

I love Monteroni d’Arbia, which is located in the Montalcino region and is just a 20-minute drive from Siena. It is known for its stunning scenery and the production of the renowned Brunello di Montalcino wine. Alberto’s passion for wine made this region an ideal choice for the couple, who wanted to incorporate this experience into their wedding. The celebrations began with a relaxed pre-wedding evening, where guests enjoyed a delicious pizza and wine pairing. The highlight of the evening was the presence of the food truck Mako Pizza, known for their high-quality artisanal pizzas. Having worked with them on several occasions, I can attest that their pizzas are truly spectacular!

On the big day, the Castello di San Fabiano was transformed with stunning décor. We installed elegant chandeliers that added a touch of sophistication to the historic setting. Before the guests arrived, I had the pleasure of accompanying Ursula and Alberto on a “first look” of the décor, allowing them to appreciate every detail carefully planned for their celebration. It was so exciting to see their eyes light up!

The ceremony at the church of San Fabiano was intimate and very emotional. After the vows, the guests were welcomed into the castle gardens for a reception that combined Tuscan cuisine with the best wines of the region, providing an authentic and memorable experience for all present. There was also a surprise: the couple chose the famous Italian mille-feuille pie show cooking (an icon of the culture) instead of the cake. And I am already dying of longing for these special days and these dear newlyweds!
